It's quite safe (at least as it pertains to electronics), vaping just raises the humidity in the room slightly, comparable to having the window open on a foggy/rainy day or having the doors open when somebody is cooking in the kitchen. Most of the time when you see the (rare) threads online about vaping killing PCs it's a "correlation != causation" thing.
It looks like it could line up with the CPU Fan?Perhaps it was this! I did notice the liquid was quite oily so that seems to rule out vaping because when it condenses it's just water.
I did also notice some blackish crud in it as well. Perhaps a sign of the dust/grime that might have come from the grease. Does anyone know if I have any warranty against this kind of thing?
This is where we find out his cat sits on top of the PC sometimes and is getting incontinent in it's old ageGet that badboy licked and report back, assuming it doesn't result in insta-death.
As long as the cat hasn't got Leptospirosis he'll be fine. Otherwise he is doomedThis is where we find out his cat sits on top of the PC sometimes and is getting incontinent in it's old age
I know nothing about vaping from a personal point of view.
I have seen one of our neighbours Son's doing it and I'm not sure how much you control this but each time he does it the amount of vapour gives the impression that he is on fire !
No wonder it can be a potential issue if you are directly next to the PC whilst vaping, it has to condense somewhere .
I dunno. You get some pretty hefty devices these days. Some people could easily go through 20-30ml a day which would mount up quickly.Far too much liquid to be from vaping imo.
He is risen hallelujah!Hey, I'm still here. I didn't think of consuming the liquid but maybe I should have. I don't have pets and no there was no pornography involved. The heat sink fan above definitely seems to be the culprit or involved somehow because there was also moisture around the edges. As if a bug had gone into it.
Oh blimey, sorry for your loss. Is it in in warranty?Sorry I can't as it's already been dabbed off as I was trying to rescue the card, which appears to have died
same here. this is 100% not caused by vaping. At the very most I have ever vaped I have only used 10ml per day. That's a lot, believe me, as the tank only holds 2ml.
I vape like buggery next to my rig in a 2x3m room and I have had no such issues. The only thing I did notice was a very slightly sticky residue on my PC when cleaning it once, but I think that was my ex's candles doing that. They certainly made the dust smell rather nice.
That looks to me like a whole tankful of vape pre vape. Remember, a lot of it burns off/up becomes sticky solid residue in the coil. Things like the flavour etc.
Phone them don't delay. I have fingers crossed for you, if the whole thing was built by OCUK you should be ok, I think.I'm not sure. The machine was new just before Christmas. But I guess I was hoping to find out if I'm covered in anyway as the machine was from Overclockers.
