Hey...

Does anyone else in the forum watch this show? Its usually on discovery channel.

Basically, 2 guys set about trying to prove or disprove Myths, you can even email them or post on their forums suggestions and ideas.

Recently they have 3 extra people working with them, who work on seperate projects on the show.

Their first project was to add Motor Rockets to a Chevy (the same that assist a jetplane taking off!). Other projects include can Salsa (as in the spicy dip) be used to break out of prison, to can bullets ignite cars fuel tanks.

Jamie Hynemen and Adam Savage both work in the movie industry, having created robots, effects in starwars, and so much else.

So um... am I the only one who watches it?

Im not a regular watcher, but ive seen it a few times. Its alright, they do seem to go into some detail on some projects.

I watch it occasionally. there have been quite a few threads on this topic before, especially in GD. For more peoples' opinions you could check those out.

Love it. :D

How many times has Adam lost his hair? ;)

Although Kari Byron would not get kicked out of bed for eating crisps and farting...

From the few I have seen, they have been great. I especially liked the one where it showed what happens to an airplane when a bullet is shot through a window... surprising, lot that much really.

Is that program ever on normal TV, or is it on the digital channels? I think I saw it once on BBC 1 or 2, but then again, I kinda turned the TV on and there it was, so it could have been any channel. :p

Brilliant show and is now shown on BBC2 19:30 on a Thursday for the sky impaired like myself :p

TTZ, see Cakes post :)

BTW, what do people think of Tori/Grant/Kari. I have to admit to not really liking Tori that much.

My fav Mythbuster though is Jamie. He is someone who really does seem to have been a fountain of knowledge (read his bio, he has done everything from being a Scuba Diver rescuing damaged ships to goodness knows what!)

Mythbusters is great -- I usually can't stand shows like this (especially ones fronted by Americans) but this one is different. Love the fact that they're so flippant about everything they do without being completely reckless.

One thing that puzzles me is why the voiceovers are different people on Discovery and BBC? Or did they switch at some point on Discovery and I just haven't seen the earlier episodes?

one of my fav tv shows of all time. I had two months off last year and watched every morning without fail. The dead big in the back of the car and left for two months to then see if they could get rid of the smell and sell the car has to be one of the best episodes for me. Love it, the things those boys and girls get upto remind me of my school days

yeah another occasional watcher here. Especially liked the one where they made a crossbow and arrow entirely out of paper :D
