hello chaps,been browisng these forums for a while,so decided to join up. Basically was given a Compaq Armada 1592DT. Im only using it to browse the net at work/in bed and d/loading. Currently running W98 With a stupid amount of ram.

Any tips on how to upgrade at all?

sell it on an auction site, take the money you would use to upgrade along with the money form the sale put a little more with it and buy something a little better as laptops are a swine to upgrade especially older one.
 
that bwas an option,but im happy to take it to bits upgrade the ram and processor...but if i did sell it,its going to be hard to find another cheapd ecent spec laptop
 
i dont think anything on that is upgradeable tbh they are usualy @ the motherboards limit when they are built so seling it is probably the best option
 
Can upgrade the ram,i know that much. Anybopdy give me a rather rough price for mine?Will scan that auction site now
 
Hahahaha,used to work for orange,wedid a similair thing.Would trust it as faras i can throw it
