N91W - sore eyes

Anyone with this monitor got tips for setting it up? Reading too much text is giving me sore eyes.

The room is well lit, the res is at 1440*900 and 32bit colour quality using win xp.

Barf0r, how are you getting on with that monitor ? any good ?

Looking at getting one. Also, what did you upgrade from ? im upgrading from a standard ratio 17" and was just wondering if the size diffrence wouldnt really be that much ?

Is cleartype on or off? If its on, is it tuned for the monitor with the utility?

I don't think blurry text would make your eyes sore, that sounds like more the brightness is too high. A lot of TFTs need the brightness turning down from default settings.

sorry to bump, just really want to find out if the n91w will be a big enough improvement over my samsung 172s 17" standard ratio. anyone ??

Your 17" has more pixels than the N91W.

The monitor I had before this was a 19" CRT so I'm not too sure about size diferences tbh.

But for the monitor itself I think its quality. really liking it, and i'm glad i went for a wide screen. I'd recommend it though I must say I don't know the most about monitors cos i've not had too many.

Brightness 17
Contrast 38
