N95 8GB Firmware 15.0.015

Well, apart from not remembering my UMTS/GSM settings, everything seems fine.
The phone feels very very slightly faster. Otherwise though, no complaints. :).

Nice easy, painless firmware upgrading. Now why cant everything be that simple? :p.
 
On a related note:
The Nokia Map Loader software has an update out, and there are map updates available as well. :).

Just downloading the latest UK/Holland/Jap maps now.
I just hope the new map loader software gets rid of that awful ATI CCC bug.


On a different note, the mass storage function on the phone doesnt appear to work unless its from a fresh boot. Probably due to the, as mentioned, music player being opened/closed but not actually closed.

Did i read somewhere that the v15 firmware adds a video editing app that was previously removed? Because i cant find it on my phone?:confused:.

When you say read out the contract name, what do you mean?

You get a synthetic robotic kinda voice that phonetically reads the contacts name out when they ring you :)

Had a strange error yesterday where my version number was displayed and i'm sure it read v11... Not had a chance to plug back in and run the update checker and i'm suck in the office most the day, anyone know how to check what version you are using? Ta :)

This 15.0.015 firmware update is still not available for my simfree n95 8gb :mad:

The nokia software updater still says the lastest firmware for my phone is V11.0.026 :mad::confused::mad:

Ah tis as i've began to suspect then! The first update i ran i was so giddy with excitement i prob missed that it updated the update software itself rather than the mobile! :D

Any leadtime on when/if voda brand the latest firmware and release it? Or is that something i'd have to ask them about? :)

IIRC, its been available since launch.
Unless im missing something, my N95 8Gb is technically sim free/debranded and the 15.0.015 firmware has been on mine pretty much since launch.:confused:.

This phone came out in October I think and the update was released in January (mine came with firmware v10 I think). So yours could play the full youtube since launch?? That cant be the case, can it?

I didnt mean like that.
Unless i mis-read, he's said that he's only recently been able to update his sim free to v15.
But v15 has been available to sim free phones since v15 was launched. Not the phone. :p.
