N95 Battery Issue

well, yes. but there are higher capacity batteries available. they didnt have to use 950mAh 3.7v batteries, did they? the iphone uses a 1400mAh 3.7v battery.

that battery is physically larger.
battery capacity is pretty much determined by volume with mobile phones. assuming they use the same technology.
you might cram a little more in by improving the quality a bit, but it won't make a huge difference.

of course its larger lol. they could have put a larger battery in the n95. they managed a larger batter in the 8gb (1150 is it?) without much of a redesign. had they of not used that large lense cover and moved the lense further up, they could have easily got longer batteries in there. at the end of the day, nokia were putting bigger batteries in lesser phones. there was no reason why they couldnt have worked them in to the n95 design. its a good job the battery life improved with firmware addition really. but still, it could have do with lasting 20-30% longer
