N95 (Can i use tomtom?)

Would it be possible to load tomtom onto the phone instead of using their own maps software for GPS purposes??

From a software point of view, you shouldn't have any difficulties. It really depends on whether TomTom 6 will recognise the GPS hardware in the phone.

If at worst it doesnt, do you think there will be an tomtom update which will list the device in the phone.

Considering price limitations - I think there might be slightly different issue, the chipset used in N95 might be a cut down, mobile version that may simply not perform that well inside cars or not lock to enough satellites to provide proper 3D view..? We'll have to wait for someone to actually test it properly and find out whether it's a gimmick, addon or viable replacement for SIRF GPS receover.

The chip inside it is a SiRF Star III.

Sirf Star III will work with tomtom 6 then...
