Hello all,

Today I took my phone out of my pocket and my house key was lodged in the USB port and had ripped out the whole USB unit!

My phone is almost 2months old so is well out of the 14day take back that Vodafone do.

It does have 3months of insurance thought.....

Also with in the last 10mins I have seen the battery got from full to "Low Battery Warning" within a 2min phone call then turn off and turn back on and come back with 50% battery :S

I plan on taking it back tomorrow but don’t know were I stand if I tell they about the battery will I be given one on the spot? Or do I tell them about the USB and claim on accidental damage?

best bet is to only lie a tiny bit by saying you're not sure how it happened

then say x and y is wrong and ask to get it fixed. Then leave the rest up to them. If you have 3 month accidental damage cover there shouldnt be any problems.

Took it back, was in the store for 30mins though.

Going to cost £25
Not too bad.

When you get the phone back, might be worth your time seeing if you can upgrading the phone with Nokia Software Updater.

Thats the first thing I am going to do.

I dont think they will repair it I think they will give me a new one?

more than likely a fourteen day return one, it says in the small print that they can replace it with an equivalant one and as yours is 2 months old your unlikely to get a brand new one, sorry
