N95 update problem

Hi, i just tried to update my phone to the newest firmware version and it came up lost phone connection half way through. I switched phone off and back on and it has started up fine and is showing the new firmware version. Does this mean it worked and its just the update software being a bit odd?

If the phone is working, then count your lucky stars, and be happy that it does sound like it has worked fine. No harm in running it again though, unless it fails properly second time around and bricks the phone

Can't run it again as it now won't install drivers for device when i select pc suite. Any more ideas?

Restore it to factory settings and try again.

Hmm, did a hard reset and the pc recognised phone and installed drivers. So i tried updating again and it died in the same place, phone goes into test mode. So i have just reset my phone again and put my backup on the phone. Everything works fine, very strange and it is showing the latest firmware on the phone.

send it in to get repaired tested ?? or just keep it up to you i supose I would send it back to err on the side of caution

Mine did the exact same thing when updating the firmware. Was using a macbook running XP. Phone has been fine however since.
