Does anyone know what sort of power is drawn from my NAD stuff when they are in standby? It's a 320BEE amp and a CD player (can't remember model number, it's the cheap one)

Misses is moaning about something and I'd rather have cold hard facts.

Not a lot - 5W at worst, I'd guess.

The exact figures will be on the spec sheet - you can probably get it on their website.

I have a power meter and a NAD C320 -I can measure it for you if you want.

I just leave mine on all the time and it uses ~ 30 watts.

When listening at medium/loud levels with my 4ohm Dynaudios (volume @ 9 - 10 o'clock) it peaks ~ 50 watts.

Damn.

My C320 doesn't have a standy mode.

Just sitting there doing nothing right now it's on 36 watts.

EDIT - NAD C541i CD Player:

4 Watts standby

6 Watts Idle

11 Watts in use

That is measured using a power meter and my actual equipment (which, just to pimp is:

NAD C541i CD Player
NAD C320 Amp
Dynaudio Audience 50
DIY Cat5 (solid core) - 4 strands per speaker
DIY interconnects (silver core)
