What's everyone's plans for Easter this weekend? Any DIY jobs planned? Are you working or do you have the time off? I was planning to visit my new granddaughter who was born recently but we just found out my other granddaughter had Chicken pox and now my Grandson has it too. I was almost killed by it when I caught it from my daughter in the 90s so I'm staying away. I will just have to stuff my face with chocolatey goodness.
 
I’m going to do the incredible amount of diy… as in plugging in my computer into a socket and having two days of Sod all but gaming Then one day of being with the family on Sunday dealing with screaming kids :mad:

The kids are away tomorrow so we'll do something romantic like clear one of the gardens ready for some work, taking the kids to a soft play and then meeting some friends for a picnic on Saturday, roasting some lamb on Sunday and then it's a family cake walk Monday which I'm cooking raspberry brownies for. Fairly busy but Sunday should be fairly chill, should be back for a chilled Monday afternoon too hopefully.

In theory it is highly unusual to get Chickenpox more than one - though not impossible.

Personally I'm working through :( and extra hours at that - at least I'm getting paid extra to do it though - a nice little earner in that respect as well.

Saturday the wife and newborn are off to visit her family so I will be using the time and nice weather to turn some petrol into noise on my bike.
Other than that just enjoying the end of my paternity leave.
 
Lawn renovation... Cut, scarify, core aerate, top dress, overseed, roll.

My body is about to be properly abused :o :cry:
 
We had our new kitchen installed recently so we're pathing in the LVT flooring where walls were removed and gaps are showing due to the new layout. Seen as we can't get hold of a plumber we might attempt to install the boiling water tap ourselves.. although I'm not sure that's a great idea! Beyond that I'll wait for my other half to suggest a spring clean... but we do need to get rid of some old internal doors, a wardrobe and other bits.

You must be minted with all the OT you've done and over COVID etc! Have you had a proper rest?

I wish - spent a lot of it on vehicle repairs and buying a new car - always seems some unexpected cost comes along whenever I get a bit of extra money.
