Building a new bed for child#2 and redecorating child#1s room.

Fun

Yes, quite, 2 lots of fun actually, which have consequences, long term ones ;) Go to it with fond memories of their conception as an old friend used to remind fathers facing physical or financial demands.

probably on the moors as Polzeath (my normal weekend place) will be rammed with tourists, only an extra day but probably garden stuff as well
well actually the surf forecast is good i will just do a very early start one day
Also another bit for the toilet needs doing as the fill valve is making a racket

Started early by screwing in a couple of wall mounted reading lights over the bed tonight. Working tomorrow and Monday and probably spending the weekend round at the Missus' house sorting a few things there as well.

Packing and a few chores tomorrow then off to Lisbon for a few days then straight up to North Yorkshire for a few more days when we land back in blighty :D

Will be getting up at 4am and driving south, will be stopping for coffee and bacon sandwich about 1/2 way, then will be putting my feet up on a beach.

Oh bugger started another thread along the same lines, I ll be faffing about while the rest of the family come and go.

Mowing the lawn tomorrow. Need to work out where to start the garden clear up, which is probably digging over the rose garden and the never ending bramble removal. Will also look at the trees to work out what to cut down, then give that up for too much work.

Probably the pub with some friends tomorrow night.

Also have to fit in family visiting and probably some DIY for the in-laws.

Stupid holidays- they are non-stop work.

Tomorrow - food and clothes shopping. My colleague discount has increased for a few days. Make the most of it.

Saturday - work. Hate Easter Saturday as people go mad as we are closed on Sunday. Yet the smaller shops (those that can open longer than 6 hours on Sundays) are open and always a queue to the car parks as some saddos can't cope! Plus open normal hours on Monday. Then customers moan about no cheap Easter eggs. Despite having more stock each year, the same thing happens. BUY EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT. We are not responsible for people leaving things to the last minute. Same faces each time. Christmas Eve - turkeys. Halloween - pumpkins...

Sunday - going out for a walk somewhere. Laugh at the idiots driving in the Aldi car park (does the empty car park give the clue away?) Then the repeat of Christmas Day dinner. Turkey crown, a freebie at work (no label - unable to sell to customers) plus various Christmas bits - pigs in blankets, Christmas pudding etc bought after Christmas as clearance which were frozen down (not the Xmas pud)

Monday - gym then working. Every BH, bar the one end of August when parents run round like headless chickens asking us if we have any boys school trousers aged 8 - the schools round here go back on the Tuesday, its always goes dead after 5pm as customers presume we are open Sunday hours. The time drags big time....
