Name and praise solicitor

Would it it acceptable to list solicitors that people have had a good experience with. I see a lot of house buying issues reported that might have been avoided by a decent solicitor.
Not sure if putting names publically would be safe or sensible though.

I wouldn't see any issues by listing their names as long as when discussing whos good and whos not that's theres no Libellous Defamatory comments made about an individual

Why the south east, we did everything by post or email.

We used

And they were brilliant always on top of everything totally out classed the other parties solicitor, we got everything we asked for and answers to everything within a day or two.

Sometimes the solicitor having local knowledge can be helpful

I had a very good experience with Peter Brown & Co https://www.peterbrown-solicitors.com/ for my last house purchase.

Very pleased with the service - had some previous experience with them as they had handled my neighbors flat sale (the other party in a shared freehold) in my old property and they were extremely diligent, excellent communication and really helped solved some issues when it was looking like sale of my place/purchase of new place was going to fall through.

@Mahonyy I think another thread for the bad experiences.
@robj20 Sometimes it is useful to have a solicitor near where the purchase is or you as a client can pop in to sign stuff quickly if required.

We have successfully used Gullands Solicitors for many years.

For our house we used DBB, she was very efficient and timely with her correspondence I won’t have any trouble using her again. Alison Daubney (sp?) was her name although there are others I think in the company.

I used convey law by post/email and had no issues whatsoever. Quick to respond/action any items ensuring swift completion both times I used them.
