Tell me about a music, movie or book you've collected that doesn't have to be of value, as long as it's something you consider to be a prized possession?

I've still got the now dance 91 cassette compilation I was bought by my sister for Christmas one year, but I do prefer things that were unexpected a little more.

I picked up a didjits ep a few years back for a fiver which was already a great find for the price.

It turned out to be a promo copy with a typewriter written letter from the band/label that blew me away having known it wasn't there. It was typical of everything from the time I loved about the music scenes, regardless of what you liked, the zines and other pre-internet comms channels were all great, awesome little glimpses into the past (...some may even say a better time! :p)

The football programme for the first Man Utd game I went to see at Old Trafford, 28th March 1987 versus Nottingham Forest. Still have it and get it out occasionally, it's mixed in with all the other programmes I have of my actual local team from when I used to regularly go.

For me, it would have to be my Gibson EDS-1275 guitar.

I have wanted one since I started playing guitar when I was 14. I have seen Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains the Same film and watched Jimmy Page play Stairway to Heaven.

At 35, I was lucky to buy a second-hand one from Guitar Guitar on New Year's Eve in Newcastle. It cost me a lot of money, but what sold it to me was that the factory inspection date was the same day as my birthday.

I've owned it for only two years, and it's barely been played, which is to be expected. However, having wanted one for over 15 years, I'm pleased to own it.
