Name that browser game.......... please :(

Trying to remember the name of a game I played like 10 years ago or something.
I'll try my best to describe it....

It was a browser based 1-on-1 battle where a player would choose 5 cards (attack, defend, special ability etc..) and then send a challenge to a friend, who would then choose 5 cards and then the battle would play out.

The battles were basically between superhero type characters with powers like "psychic blast" and other such things.

I seem to remember the colour scheme of the webpage being mainly blue/purple.

Sound familiar to anyone ?

Awww come on, it's going to drive me mental !!!

I have also remembered that as you take damage, your card that represents your character starts to look burnt and damaged.

I also think there was a rudimentary "hero designer" for your look.
Pretty decent pics actually. Very Marvel-esque.

Unfortunately it's none of them

Chances are that it has died a death in all the years that have passed, but I remember it being awesome and I just wanted another look.

I've been Googling "card battle duel hero powers online browser battle" and all kinds of stuff all day, but nothing's working !!
