its an inductive sensor so it could be cam,crank or abs.

It's a synchronous AC electric motor, not something you'd usualy find in a car. Often used for powering cooling fans in mains equipment and other light duty applications.

EDIT: You could find one in a car I suppose...if you powered a desk fan from a mains inverter plugged into your cigarette lighter
