I remember playing a game that was either PC based or ATARI based. I can't recall which as I was just too young to remember but I was wondering if what little details I remember of the game can spark a memory or the name of it for me.

From what I can remember it was like Broken Sword style art direction and was Broken Swordesque in it's game mechanics (I think) and no, it wasn't Broken Sword! :p

It involved puzzles, a mayan temple, a jeep and an assassin who would try and ram you off the road in between journeys.

When you died there would be a skull appearing on screen along with some scary music! :p

Any ideas what the name of this game is as I would desperately love to replay it! ;)

Thanks.

Whappers.

Its not broken sword 2 is it? :p

Or Inca? Or urm Loom (deffinatally not loom i just want to play it)? Or escape from monkey island (though that didnt have a jeep) Or urm myst?

Im sticking with its broken sword 2, just as i fancy playing through it now (scumm vm time with my cds i found of it) :D

Nope. Not Broken Sword I or II. I have them both! ;)

Grrr... hopefully somebody will be able to come up with the answer. :p

You could try probing the knowledge of Just Adventure Forum

No idea if it's a good forum, but it showed up while I was searching. Then come back here and let us know.

Sure the mention of an assassin using a jeep to knock you off the road will clinch it.

Only game off the top of my head with a Mayan Temple is Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis; but thats not a Broken Sword engine.

Yeah check Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis as suggested by Sleepery.
Ticks all the boxes from what I can remember regarding genre, graphical style and gameplay (1992 based SCUMM engine point and click)

Cant remember about the jeep, I think I remember a bit trying to avoid the enemy riding about on Jeeps whilst on a camel?
