Firstly I have to apologise for lack of detail here, but you boys would know if anyone would.

When my parents bought our first PC back in circa 1995 - 1997, the guy who built it left a single player PC game on there. I got addicted to it and when I started having PC trouble I took it back to him and the game was gone. I've never been able to find details of the game online or ever heard of it after that.

It was a third person shooter, where you got to run around and also drive cars. Much like the modern day GTA games but it was released before the first GTA! I remember the title has something to do with DOGS and I remember the game title was written on screen with lots of metal panels and bolts.

Any ideas from the old gamers?

No it's not either of those.

Maybe it was a dream... or maybe I'm making it cooler in my head than it ever was in real life. There's no way a 'GTA' or 'Driver' type game was out that early... when I say third person I mean the exact same third person view of GTA or Driver.

Need more info!

Was it mostly walking around 3rd person with some driving or more driving less walking? What do you actually do in the game?

If you got your PC in 95-97 could the game be older than that or was it new?

If it was 3d were all the enemies, or whatever, 3d as well or 2d sprites?

Id DOGS was in the title was it xxxxxDOGS or DOGSxxxxxxx ?

Maybe it was a dream...

Very vague OP

Duke Nukem?

Woof!

Actually I can't rmember any dogs in this or even if it was third or first person. :/

It was mainly walking around shooting in 3rd person with some driving, rather than the other way around. It was set in a post apocalyptic type world with robots flying around and remains of robots scattered over the floor. I'm pretty sure spaceships were in it too.

The driving looked a little like Quarantine 1994.

The guy who built the PC put it on there, it was definitely new for its time so I'd say it's release had to be around 1994 - 1997.

They were as 3D as Duke Nukem was 3D, so that's 2D sprites right? Like you'd try to walk around them and it was a 2D picture standing up (haha remember that, jeez).
