Nandos closed...

We're still basically in a pandemic so it's hardly surprising supply issues exist for the time being with people being pinged to self isolate. Things could get worse if Covid spikes again during the winter / effects of opening things back up.

Had a Nando's once, I fail to see why people praise it so highly. The Chicken Van we have around here does far superior chicken, and at a way lower price. I bet people from this area will also have fond memories of The Womble Inn in Newcastle and the enticing smell of spit-roasting chicken that emanated from that place. Made you ******* mouth drool that did.

Nando's butterfly burger + peri fries + corn on the cob, wing roulette to share.

Love it. Nothing less than hot though.

We should really have a "GD food thread" bingo card, in every single thread we always have the same ones:

  • Buy this completely different food, it's much better.
  • I'd never put that crap in my body.
  • It's overpriced (usually northerners)
  • Make it at home, much nicer
  • It's exactly the same as x food but that's much nicer
Always makes me laugh, the way some people go on about a quick takeaway you'd think they treat this as their final meal :D

i love a good filling at xmas.

Don’t we all.

Had my Saturday sainsburys 7am delivered for months now and nothing missing.

Same with Tesco between 10.00 and 12.00 on Saturday for ages now, only hiccups that I recall was there were no button mushrooms once, another time had to have medium sliced bread as they were out of thick sliced, and once one litre of Smirnoff was substituted with a 70cl bottle.

Hope I can get a turkey for Christmas :(

Usually get ours from M & S, but last year my wife discovered a farm shop doing them a couple of miles from her father’s place out in the boonies, she ordered one and her dad brought it with him a couple of days before Christmas Eve, when he came up to civilisation to spend Christmas with us.
She said that any suggestion of possible shortages at M & S, and she’ll get it from the farm again.

Not just that, I’m worried about whether or not I’ll get a good stuffing this Christmas

Ooh matron!

do supermarkets really have issues or is it more that they only have 1-2 brands instead of about 5 different versions of the same thing?

All you need is some chicken, Nando’s peri peri sauces, marinade, perinaise, chips and some peri salt- all available at supermarkets.

Marinade the chicken first thing in the morning. Then grill chicken in the evening, cook chips etc

Unsurprising, given the bumbling twit at the helm of the Brexit shambles.

Though McDonald's “Milkshakes” (It’s ******* ice cream!) and Nando’s are far from essential and this is just a 1st world problem for the self entitled fast food consumer.
