Does anyone else follow any of these? I find some of them very relaxing.

There are plenty to choose from but the 2 I enjoy most are Country House Gent and Cruising the Cut. The latter, I believe, is an ex TV pro & his output reflects that.

Some are really bad though - there's a pair of guys who pose as a comedy double act & several who insist on playing an annoying backing track through all their videos.

The 2 I mention say no more than needs to be said & leave you to enjoy the tranquility of the cut. Perfect viewing before lights out.

I do: https://m.youtube.com/@mykaskin/videos. He helms a lovely Royalty class narrowboat named Victoria.
Nice, will have a watch later.

Here are links to the 2 referenced above:

I love watching these, they're a perfect de-stresser. Cruising The Cut is where it all started, I think he pretty much pioneered the format. There's loads of narrowboat vloggers now. I've followed quite a few different ones over the years.

It seems a pretty tough life. I've often felt I'd like to give narrowboat life a go, seems a good community to be part of. But when you watch these vloggers you realise that the amount of things that can, and do, go wrong on a narrowboat is pretty immense.

Here's a few channels which might be of interest if you haven't already seen them:

I had a couple of Narrow boat holidays and they are fantastic.

It's hard to describe but the pace if life and everything is so relaxing, and the scenery constantly changes.

We found a spot just before Llangollen on that canal, really pretty side of a hill with castle ruin up the other side, walked into town and got some sausages, I picked a load of wild garlic that was growing on the bank, threw that in with the sausages in a tray and roasted them. Mmmmmmmmmm.

I honestly can't remember was 10 years ago.

We went on another one after.

The first one was Wrenbury to Llangollen on the Llangollen canal, was bloody beautiful, only thing it was busy. Was bloody beautiful though.
Going over the Pontysomething aqua duct, and the long tunnel after etc, but all of it was stunning.

Second was Anderton the Chester, on the Shropshire Union canal, was still good but not quite as scenic, but a lot less traffic though.

We will have do another one at some point.

We owned a 47’ NB for a number of years and traveled as far north as Skipton and south as Devizes. After selling it we hired boats to cruise landlocked waterways and those that we missed. Great fun but definitely not a cheap lifestyle.
