NAS access issue

I have a Synology DS112j and for some reason it looks like the network card has gone on it (I've tried 2 switches/routers, different network cables and also plugged directly into my router as it was on a powerline) but cannot get any lights on the ethernet port and the LAN light on the front panel doesn't light.

Does anyone have any suggestions to being able to get onto the drive to copy my data off the Hdd that's in there (I assume I cannot remove the Hdd and see it in Windows)?

Yeah looks like I need Ubuntu installed to read the drive, just downloaded it and burnt a DVD, going to see if I can install to a USB stick to boot from but it does look as though my Diskstation is borked grrrr.
