I've just bought a Qnap TS-110 with 2tb WD drive to replace my 640gb Buffalo Linkstation Live but I'm not sure I like it. I went for the Qnap as obviously its superior to the Linkstation and it could do more but it seems a bit of a pain to setup to be honest. The thing I liked about the Linkstation is its simplicity. I have one share with the relevant folders inside which is easily shared across my network to all my devices (PS3, MBP). But the Qnap has got over half a dozen shares, each for a separate relevant purpose and I cant see a way of recreating what I ahve with the Linkstation on my Qnap.
Sorry for the rambling but do I keep the Qnap or do I just go for a readymade NAS drive for its simplicity??
Cheers.
