NAS Help

Hi guys im looking to purchase a ReadyNAS system to stream media to my ps3 , xbox 360 and run a backup of my main PC . My problem is that if i place my router downstairs and plug in the NAS and PS3 through ethernet it would give me a bad signal to my PC and Xbox 360.. soo i was thinking is there anyway round this soo i can stream 1080p media throughout my house without having all thew deviced nect to each other connected to one router?

Why would you get bad signal? Poor wireless? Maybe upgrade router to wireless N?

Yes, bad wireless signal. If I upgraded to wireless N that's 108mb/s right ? And I Would also need a new wireless pcie card ?

I'd look at the homeplug options if bad wireless signal could be a problem.

85Mbps ones can be bought quite cheaply these days.

If I had my NAS and PS3 connected through 100mbs Ethernet and I purchased an 85mbs homeplug what will be the likely transfer speeds for copying large HD files over to the NAS ?

The FS thread in my sig has reviews with speeds in.. but you need to ask yourself if they deliver enough to watch HD. Generally you'll need 200mbs AV ones for HD.
