Hey guys,

This is a weird question but is it possible to have a NAS drive with 2 partitions whereby I can access one via network and the other partition via USB (it will be an external drive)?

Someone asked me and I had no idea but someone on OcUK I think would have thought this up.

I dont think so, im pretty sure you can just tell it to not mount a partition to share but then you wouldnt be able to access it via usb.

if you have the nas box hooked up to the pc via enet or wifi, and also usb, you'll be able to map the desired partition over the network but it'll appear duplicated (cos of the usb) and with that duplicate, the second partition would appear.

can ya not think of another solution?
