Stick the 14tb's in a dual enclosure then, backup to that and send it off. I've done exactly this with a Lacie 2 Big and a pair of 14tbs.
G-Tech G-Raid would also work, or perhaps an ORICO 2 Bay (though I've never tried one of those).
Ah I didnt think of this! A dual enclosure offsite and then my main one here on site will work well.
Now just to spec my actual NAS, I feel like 4 bay is probably enough but given the sheer amount of data I think 6 will feel a bit more comfy. RAID 10 with 6 drives I think will work best unless im mistaken? Also if a single drive were to fail, I assume its a case of just getting it swapped out to another drive and it will automatically rebuild? What happens if i swap the dead drive with one of lesser or higher capacity? Higher im guessing would just lead to wasted space, but lower im not so sure about?
