Quick question: If you have two hard disks in JBOD or RAID which are attached to a RAID card or in a NAS unit and you add another hard disk will the data on the two disks be lost?
No, the software recompiles the array to include the new drive, it can take a good few hours to complete though but the other drives should still be usable but at a slower speed.
