NAS replacement

Thinking about replacing my D-Link DNS-323 with either a 2 or 4 bay NAS. One thing that annoys me about the DNS-323 is the noisy little fan, so a new one must have a larger, quieter fan.

Power and facility for Slimcenter also desirable but not essential. Torrent download also desirable.

why not have a look at a cheap HP or Fujitsu server with Windows Home Server, much more versatile than a 'embedded' type solution?

I bought myself a Qnap 409 4 bay unit and I love it.
Qnap have a new 5 bay version the 509 , I wish I had of waited for it :-(

But the 409 does an amazing job and its VERY power effecient

You could also have a look at the HP MediaSmart EX470/475 or Tranquil WHS A3
