Hi,
My Lacie NAS unit supports FTP or SMB as a way to access the files.
I have a wireless box in my house that's as secure as possible, but I dont trust them too much.
If I use FTP all someone needs is my IP range and all the shared folders on the box get listed - although they still need a password.
If I use SMB all someone needs is my workgroup and all the shared folders on the box get listed - although they still need a password.
What of these two options is more secure?
Cheers
