Hi I am trying to find a nas with wifi, the nas must allow two hard drive have have some kind of raid like mirroring. Cheaper the better. I was thinking maybe wifi extender with lan connection would be an alternative.

QNAP TS-230 2-bay Desktop NAS Enclosure - 2GB RAM - 1.4GHz

thx

Why would you need it to be linked via Wi-Fi?

2 bay devices can be plunked just about anywhere like behind the Wi-Fi router in the house and a short Ethernet cable plugged between it and the router … job done, available to the whole network including Wi-Fi connected devices.

Cant imagine a NAS with wifi to be very performant. Could be done with a whitebox quite easily however.

Im guessing this is required due to the location of the NAS?

Could look at using ethernet over power adapters - they are not great but maybe a better solution than Wifi. Also will provide a generic solution incase you change NAS in the future.

Most QNAP support a usb wifi adapter or in some cases support their own add in wifi card.

Personally I'd just place it next to the wifi router or grab an external wifi bridge/access point if that can't be done.
