NASA countdown swf ?

Hi,

dose any one know how i can display this http://www.nasa.gov/flash/150644main_countdown.swf in a small window on my desktop without needing firefox open.

i have looked around to see if there any sidebar plugings for vista or yahoo widgets but couldn't find any.

There was a way to do this in XP, it was called Active Desktop. But they've removed it in Vista.

Just grabbed this and put it on my dashboard in OS X with web clips. Is there no kind of web clips thing for Vista sidebar?

Just had a quick look couldn't see anything. I'm sure there must be something out there though. Will look this evening properly after work.

You would think nasa would have a plugin in this day and age.

they can get a probe to mars but don't have a plugin for vista for the shuttle countdown.

to be fair to nasa, they arent really focussed on making plug ins, it's just not their forte

I saved the swf file and played it back in media player classic, would that be any use for you?

i give that a try and it dosen't like it :confused:

is there a player that will play swf without any buttons, just a window ?

Press 1, using Media Player Classic. You can get it to look quite compact.

thanks that will do just fine, i did try samurise but my belkin ups software didn't like samurise at all.
