I damaged my Natwest debit card and I couldn't read any of the numbers on it, so I ordered a new one from Natwest that should arrive in the next week.

However, I want to make an online purchase but I don't know the debit card number, any Natwest customers here know if it's possible to obtain it via online banking? I've looked and I can't really see anything.

Otherwise, would I just have to wait for the new card to come through?

Cheers

Going to have to wait unless you remember it online, tried the old paper and pencil tracing trick? or is the card really that unreadable?

Unless you've got it written down you'll have to wait for your new card. I assume the old card has been cancelled when you ordered the new one so even if you had the number it wouldn't be of much use.

The card number is cancelled when you get a new card, as you get a new number with that.

So it wouldn't matter if you did find it, it wouldn't work.

As stated several times.

Incorrect. Natwest told me the card details would stay exactly the same as I didn't lose my card, I just damaged it.
Although: my chip stopped working and the lady in Natwest got a replacement ordered which had a different number. (Although that was probably because it changed from Solo to Visa Debit (i assume))

Correct! It'll only expire when you register the new card.

This.

Nice crack down the middle of mine, so I have a new one on the way. It's been like that for months, it was only because I used it in branch this week that something got done about it.

I thought i'd have to go without my card for a week or two while the new one was in the post, but they said it would be fine to keep using it, and it seems the case, as I filled up the car this morning and it worked no problem.
