No. No no no. Nope. No.
It's an all-Flash site that uses 'mystery meat' navigation. It's almost the epitome of web inaccessibility.
Not particularly, though I don't think that's as big an issue as others might think. I've got no problem with asking of some intelligence from viewers, and once I'd twigged - i.e. learned the navigation paradigm - I didn't have a huge problem with it. People place too much stock on 'immediately recognised', when 'easily learned' can be just as effective, and may even be the better solution.
As long as it doesn't get between visitor and content, which is the only thing they're there for. Unfortunately, it got between me and content. Presenting a nearly blank screen to a new visitor? Hmm. Brave.
I had more of a problem with having to hold a mouse button down to access the navigation.
Really didn't like that. Then I thought that might be something for mobile users - jab-and-drag, so to speak - until it occurred to me that it's an all-Flash site and therefore useless on Apple devices.
It's clear that a lot of time and effort has gone into it; it looks very polished and slick [and hey, that's what all-Flash sites excel at]. Unfortunately the user experience - the
raison d'etre of the site - has been compromised as a result.
EDIT: In fact, the more I use it, the more frustrated I am by things not doing what I expect them to do. I'm presented with a near-blank page
far too often. Back to the Adobe suite, I'm afraid. Nice presentation whenever I can get to it, mind
