Kypher, i take it your in the navy and not the marines? If so, what else do you have to do apart from the 1.5 mile run? Something like 20 pressups and 40 situps?

What jdickerson said is spot on. The exact recruit pre-joining fitness is here but you'll want to be exceeding them by as much as possible to make your first phase as easy as possible. In the pre joining pack that i was given it gives you a 3 month plan to meet the requirements, it doesn't even assume you can swim when you start the plan so its quite basic.
