NBA 2013/2014 Season!

Seems like there is till no TV deal in place with either ESPN/BT/SKY...could it be a last minute pick up for cheap from any of them?...Or do I have to resort to the league pass, which i'm not too keen on just due to potential lag and not HD etc, or is it?

The HD streaming on both PC and Xbox actually looks very good (more so on the xbox) but there was a stuttering problem last year where the stream would run in slow motion for a moment and then be followed up with double speed to catch the live stream! Often quite hilarious but mostly annoying. Was ironed out by seasons end.

Oddly that problem wasn't present on the PC version!

The league pass has a free trial right now so give it a try - it might surprise you. Only thing I would suggest is that if you watch it do NOT keep up with the game on Twitter as well as I spoiled the result of game 6 of the finals last year since the stream runs ~1 min behind the broadcast it feeds from!

:D

Service resumed, Bulls only had a chance when we let right off the gas. Best moment for me (apart from the ring ceremony) was Cole putting Rose on his butt with some dribbling skills :D

Glad the season is here again :)

Pacers took a comfortable win, was a shock to see the Lakers kids/reserves beat Clips, not the best start for Doc!

From the little I saw the games were good but by god what a shower of **** with the NBA LP. Again.

Fire it up on the xbox so I get it on the big screen - all good and start watching the Magic/Pacers game. Looks like Pacers were running away with it so I switched to the Bulls/Heat game and was surprised to see the ring ceremony being shown!

(side note: Using the court as a projector screen = mind blowing!)

Towards the end of the 1st quarter it started buffering quite a lot. The 2nd quarter never showed on the xbox as it claimed the video service wasn't working! I jumped on the PC and everything is fine?!

By halftime I was shattered and crawled to bed phone in hand only to discover that on both 3 (mobile network) and my Wifi (which my PC was on!?) both resulted in a Geo Block message about being in a blackout area!??!

WHAT THE ACTUAL ****?!

Pretty unimpressed it has to be said :/

Thanks to Cole muddling. To be fair it was a minor part of the game, just amusing.

When they put it to bed I'm surprised they didn't give Beasley/Oden some game time. The other surprise was Rose's shooting, though I suppose there is an intensity difference between pre and regular season that he needs to get used to.

Oh he was definitely crossed up. oden was in a suit but I agree I'm surprised beasley didnt get some minutes

I'm happy with that start by the Heat. Bench scored well, points spread evenly through the team and no bad performances from anyone against a strong Bulls team. Would have like to see Oden and Beasley but I'm sure they'll feature soon enough!

Nets/Cavs should be fascinating tonight.

Also be interesting to see how the newly decimated Celts perform and see if the Wizards (my dark horses) can get off to a good start. Heat home to Sixers should be a home win, not really expecting a shock but you never know!

Haha the Sixers beat the Heat. Not entirely sure they want to with the whole rebuilding phase but it makes a good game :D

Hell of a debut for Micheal Carter-Williams too!

22 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists, 9 steals and shot 60%!!

Mental!

I had a dream they beat us and when I woke up it was true so wasn't too shocked :p

MCW played well, be interesting to see how he gets on this year.

Cavs beat Nets :D Irving back just hope he stats fit for once. Rockets looked impressive too.

Hello, love the NBA and got the league pass last year half way through the season last year while watching the few games that were on ESPN (including NBA Tonight) and post season which was also on sky sports. Just wanted to ask how everyone watches the NBA in UK. The only viable option i can see is the League Pass at the minute however watching from my PC via HDMI to TV is only barely watchable and the quality is miles apart compared to that of the HD coverage that was on ESPN and Sky Sports last year. So what i would like to know is the difference in quality between that of the NBA league pass on PC, Apple TV and Xbox and any other option i'm not currently aware off. Thankyou for any help.
