NEC MultiSync 2080UX + to 24"

Hello,

At work I have the monitor named in the thread's title and I'm wondering if anyone knows what panel technology it is. Everything is fine with it for the 10 months that I have been using to do just about anything. Therefore, since I'm currently in pursuit of a 24" monitor I'll be going for one that features the same panel, basing on the experience I'm having with NEC one Thanks in advance!

Can't seem to find that exact model on the NEC website, there's a 2070 which is TN and a 2090 which is S-IPS.

Quick way to check if it's a TN, look from an extreme vertical angle (top down and then bottom up), if the image seems to become a "negative" (like when getting film developed) it's a TN. If there is no perceptible change when looking at extreme vertical and horizontal angles it's an S-IPS.

Your only option at 24" (short of importing an NEC 24" WUXI from the states and foregoing a warranty) is currently the Hazro HZ24W which is having an updated model launching this month.

Thanks. I had a look and it appears that it's a S-IPS panel. We'll what the choices are...
