Tesco club card used to give 2p to the £1 which racked up points quickly back in 2010-11 but then reverted back to their old ways of 1p to the £1 so it's no better than the Nectar card. The only difference is the Nectar gives 2 POINTS per £1 to make you think that you're getting 2p but in fact each point is worth only a ha'penny so it still works out as 1p. Marketing tactic.
Not shopped in Boots for donkeys, but does their advantage card still give 4p to the £1? That was probably the best I've seen for a loyalty card. Had one for the Co-ops as well called the dividend card (we just called it the "divvy card"), which was quite good but it only worked in Bristol for some reason. My mate who worked in a Shropshire Co-op had no idea what the divvy card was and wouldn't swipe it, even though it had the blue Co-op's logo on it.
