Hey guys, I have 1 pc in the house and 1 laptop, both in different locations.

My laptop gets twice the speed of my PC because its connected via ethernet instead of wirelessly (dont ask me why, BT infinity ive tried several different wireless methods but cant get above 1.5MB/s while my laptop gets 4.5MB/s)

So, I would much prefer to use my laptop for downloading, however as you can imagine I don't use it for the stuff I download, I use my PC for that.. and rather than leaving my PC on 24/7 my laptop would use a lot less power/electricity and stuff would download in a lot less time.

So my question is what is the best way to download from my laptop and have it transferred to my PC?

I am not very clued up on network drives and have very little space for a USB hard drive for the laptop, i dont want anymore hardware near the laptop infact beause of the lack of space.. the computer room has lots of space however. Just need to know the best solution :)

thanks, i hope you understand lol

Why not wire the PC and do laptop wireless? If its location its easy enough to route some cat5 cable upstairs, and its pretty cheap
Alternatively you can just file share the folders but itll take ages for your pc to copy them across, other method would be use a USB stick such as this, copy from laptop to stick then stick to pc
