I have recently upgraded from a 256 GTX to a 7800GTX 512 version, i am using a Viewsonic VA2012w Widescreen, i run BF2 @ 1680x1050, now when i used the 256 version it would run fine, no priblems at all! Now using the 512 version i get the odd flickering on my screen, but if i lower the resolution to one that is actually available in the bf2 video options, it stops the flickering, the flickering isn't constant, just very random.

The only things i have changed are the card and i have changed the vga lead to a dvi lead, so if anybody has any ideas, it would be apreciated. :)

What's the native resolution on your monitor? Have you tried forcing bf2 to run in that resolution (using the command-line parameters) ?

Have you tried the synch refresh rate option in the nvidia driver accessed from the control panel? Sounds like the monitor is catching the screen update

I have tryed that, and still the same results, i will have a go at the sync thing, and see if that helps, i take it that it's easy to locate.

Thanks for the help :)

Sorry, maybe im having a dumb moment, but i can't see this option, could you give a more accurate location of its whereabouts plz m8?

Nvidia driver tab. Its called "Vertical Synch" scroll down you should see it along with the AA and AF settings. If you can't turn advanced on. You should also have an option in BF2 to turn it on. Try Video Options.
