hi a friend of a mine wants me to build him a PC and I've been out of the loop a bit but I've got everything else speced up it's just the case I'm struggling with.

I need something thats quiet, looks impressive ( or just good) and can cool a quad core 2 duo 2.4Ghz with out any problems. Price range is around £100 don't mind if it's under or over.

Cheers for any help.

For just less than £100 the antec p182 looks a good choice. The akasa eclipse/mirage seem popular choices as well for around £100.

I'm building a Q6600 system in an Akasa Eclipse 62 at the moment. The case is just huge inside as it's very deep and wide. This gives plenty of space between the mobo and the back of the drives. Even I might make an improvement over my usual rats' nest of cables....

The Lian-Li PC-7 is another popular choice but the Eclipse is easier to work with because of the increased clearance. The Antec 182 looks interesting as the PSU has its own compartment at the bottom of the case. Have a look at the thread asking for help on whether to choose the 190 or 182 for some piccies. Having seen them, I'm happy with my choice.
