Can anyone recommend me a good, reliable 6.35mm female stereo jack to 3.5mm male stereo jack adapter? I've got two. One of them the 3.5mm jack is bent. The other I bought from ebay a few months ago, one of those real cheapo £2 purchases and the connection is not good. I often have to fiddle with it to get full sound otherwise it sounds thin and like it's under water. I originally thought it was my laptop headphone connection but it does the same out of the Fiio E11K.

You shouldn't link directly to competitors that said we don't stock this so i'm not sure on the rules.

I personally would consider a proper cable. Those jack adapters are all prone to the same problems.

I know that's not a cheap solution due to the sockets but you could probably cut back and solder your own and use a bit of heatshrink to seal it back up.

I've deleted that link now.

For 6.35mm to 3.5mm you're better off with a short cable adapter because it removes most of the stress on the smaller plug and socket.

Search the rainforest for "6.35mm to 3.5mm headphone cable adapter"

The third one down should do nicely.

'StoreONE 6.3mm to 3.5mm Cable Adaptor 15cm for Grado, Sennheiser & Other Headphones' yes? Awesome, I'll buy that. Does seem a better idea to reduce the stress. Thanks :)

It's a lot like the one that came with my Sennheiser HD650s but for some reason that's showing up as being £92, which I think is a bit steep :D
