need a freesat box

can anyone recommend a cheap freesat box? all I need is 2 inputs so I can record and watch TV at the same time and HD.

I've got sky at the minute but I'll be cancelling it soon.
 
There's some comments on AV Forums about the Bush/Sandstrom Freesat+ recorder. Long story short; it's riddled with bugs and the remote is flaky too. Was £169. Now on promo for £139. It does seem that you get what you pay for. Stick with Humax. The older Foxsat HDR was very well regarded. Should be plenty of reviews available for that. There's the replacement for that, the Humax HDR1000S, which comes with the catch-up TV service "free time" as well as the usual twin tuner recording features.

All Humax recorders come in a range of HD sizes, so you can get the full features with a smaller drive if you're up against it. Make sure you check out the Humax web site. They do refurb sales direct on there. Also have a look at the classifieds. AV Forums would be a good start point. There'll be folk selling used Foxsat HDRs to replace with the newer HDR1000S'
