I'm currently trying to complete The Lion King on Sega Megadrive, it is probably the hardest game in the world.

I'm sure you are aware how you can play this on your laptop without a Megadrive, but obviously cannot be discussed here

total war - Rome or Medieval
Mount and blade - nice rpg rts mix
Anno - the older ones might be worth getting
Might and magic 5

You might want to check gog they have a lot of decent older games.
