Need a "Gaming" mouse. Maximum £40.

Most of those steelseries have good sensors - don't have the pickup skip and over-sensitive wobble a lot of lasers have, unfortunatly I can't find one thats a like for like replacement for the MS WMO1.1a size wise the Kinzu V2 would be ideal if it was just a little bigger. So I'm still rocking the WMO here :D

Sorry for hijacking the thread but I don't think this warrants it's own thread:

Does anyone know how the G400 and G500 compare to the MX518 in terms of shape? They look pretty identical on pictures but has anyone used both of them?

I have had pretty much all the mice mentioned here, I have also had the RAT3 and RAT7.

My newest mouse, which I bought for Xmas is the CM Storm Sentinel Adv.

It's smooth, affordable compared to Razers fail mice and is unique it's own way, all profiles are stored locally on the mouse as an example.

It also looks pretty badass imo.

I would say it's one of the best feeling mice I have got, it moves a lot differently from other mice due to duo laser's opposed to one so you get an accelerated mouse feel but it's not actually accelerated, sounds bad right? An hour playing an FPS/MMO and damn, its AWESOME.

I personally found the G500 a bit light even with the heavy weights in, suppose it depends what your used too.

+1 for the Mionix Naos.
Probably the best mouse I've ever owned.
I use a G600 now but that's just for the extra MMO keypad.

Oh, I disliked my time with the G500 for a few reasons...

- poor button placement, annoying third side button which seems superfluous and dpi buttons too hard to reach. Personally found using the dpi buttons impossible without lifting my hand off the mouse - not good.

- scroll wheel switcher button very strange inclusion on a gaming mouse, which is where the dpi buttons should have been located.

- less comfortable shape than the older g5/mx518 which is supposed to be better but isnt.

I don't understand why people like this mouse.

Personally I would return under dsr and go for the g400. The g400 fixes all the problems I mentioned above.

G400 or razer deathadder 3.5 are the two best gaming mice around at the moment!

+ QPAD CT large mousepad best I've used since the old intellimouse 3.0 and icemat combo!

Don't forget the G500's sensor has acceleration
