my trusty mx 518 has got the dreaded mouse acceleration bug after i clicked on a dpi button for first time in years... :( need to find a new mouse just not sure what to get. logitech seem to be no where near as good quality wise now and Ghub probably worst software on the planet.

Highly recommend the VGE Dragonfly - ultralight, latest sensor (up to 32k dpi), 8k polling via 2.4G dongle.
Bought my son the Pro Max version (£42 delivered, but there are cheaper versions around £20-30) and he absolutely loves it.

My son wanted a super lightweight, low latency, wireless (BT & 2.4Ghz) mouse and was recommended the VXE Dragonfly R1 Pro Max (with the 4K, 2.4Ghz dongle). I ordered from AliX for about £43 all in and it took just under three weeks to arrive.


Exceptionally light (48g - we weighed it!), minimal styling, really slippery PTFE skates, on board DPI switch and lovely switches. The dongle enables 4k polling...



However, it's ambidextrous, not particularly large and you do need to use the Chinese app* to set the polling speed and adjust the DPI settings (we set it to 400, 800, 1200, 3200 & had to try 26k for gits & shiggles), and assign a LED colour for each setting.


The settings are stored on the mouse, so this only really needs doing the once, then the app can be uninstalled.


I believe the R1 Pro Max can be picked up in the UK for about £47, although I don't think the 4K dongle is included.


There's also an Attack Shark version with almost identical internals, which is Right Handed - so maybe worth a look...


(*I used my Pixel 9 Pro to translate the app, so I could change the language to Engrish)

cant stand light mice. tried a steel series highly rated mouse at weekend 70g sending it back. also managed to fix my trusty mx 518 so happy days..the king is a alive. they are 100g roughly.
 
I've just got a classic Razer Deathadder v2 which I'm pretty happy with, wanted another Zowie as I really liked the one I had before, but I think at the time I was looking either availability or pricing was really bad so went with this, agreed on the not really liking the superlight or small mice, do have a wireless CoolerMaster MM731 but ended up going back to the wired Deathadder due to the size/shape/weight.

death adder is great value and a decent mouse tbh at £15. can remember when they were like 80 quid or something like. razer stuff dont tend to last long though.
 
Yeah I've been through lots of different mice since the original post. Razer were pretty shoddy, had a few fail after not very long at all. Currently using a Corsair Scimitar Elite and it's great. Lasted longer than all the previous ones.
 
Definitely paid more than £15 for it, £35 from a quick check, a bit over 4 years ago and hasn't shown any signs of any issues so I'll keep using it until it does, haven't felt the need to change it, but I have also stopped playing online fps in that time so my 'needs' when it comes to a mouse have probably changed as well, haven't used a side button for voice chat in years it feels like.

thats the current price so if you like em id bag a couple so you sorted.

I mean I'm happy enough with it but if it were to die I'd use it as an excuse to do some research and probably try something new, don't love it so much I'd buy a spare, got a couple of older microsoft intellimouse models which aren't too bad to use as a stop gap.
 
My G502 LS wireless just stopped working recently, replaced with a Razer V3 but find it very light compared to the logi. Might have to get another G502 unless any other recommendations

All Mice are getting lighter and lighter, they will be pumped and sealed with helium next :cry:

Lower your sensitivity and give it some time, you will soon get used to the lighter weight :)
