Need a good book

Currently I am reading Crime and Punishment as I want to be more aware of the great novels of recent times. :) At the moment I average around 2 pages a day which means I will be finished sometime next year. :D My favourite part about this book is the cracking words used, I always try to ingrain such words into my brain so I can use them at a later date. Fantastic! :)

Tom Clancy
Teeth of the Tiger
Any of the Jack Ryan / John Clark Series

Anything by patrick robinson

Storm Crow - Jeff Gulvin http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/g/jeff-gulvin/

Clive Cussler (the guy responsible for sahara, but the books are a lot better imo, and he's just brought out a new series called the oregon files)
His main series are Dirk Pitt based, but he also does Kurt Austin (not as good imo) and the oregon series (Sacred Stone and another one I can't remember)

I enjoyed reading HDM because the characters were interesting and the concept was great.
Heh. The concept is an old one. Its the bible with a different cover ;)

I need more than that from a trilogy though. A storyline would be good, and the whole thing could conceivably be written in one book.

I am fully aware of the relation of the story to religion and god, but saying its the bible with a different cover is tripe! Unless of course I am meant to not take that serious due to the smily ;)
