need a good GPU cooling for OC

I understand why you do it chaps, but personally i disapprove. I know we're not Nvidia users but i think of it as the way its meant to be played, and that my friends is everything at the highest. I can understand sacrificing AA, or notching it down a tad but anything else (excluding that motion blur crap) is just not cricket.

What benefit is there to running 120fps without a 120hz screen? Is it like CoD where 270fps is a benefit?

I do quick movements with my mouse and theres a small difference between 100 and 120fps which is a benefit to my eye. 120hz screen is the last thing I need to enjoy the game fully

What CPU are you running to manage 120fps on 64 man servers?

I can barley tell the difference between low and ultra
Never been much of a graphics whore though, i prefer my games smooth rather than looking pretty.

When i used to play FPS games 100% of the time most days i was a pretty competent twitch gamer (mainly scope, like 95% of the time) i probably play 3 or 4 hours a week now, one of the main reasons for being able to keep up is my 120hz screen (the other reason being most gamers in public lobbies are terrible to begin with )

You need to get one! Arguable the best upgrade i've ever made.

Battlefield 3 is fine at default settings. However you can improve things if you so desire.

Open notepad and cut and paste the following in.

Assuming you use vsync 60fps

RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit 1
RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0
Render.DeviceVSyncEnable 1
GameTime.MaxVariableFps 59.0

Assuming you don't like vsync 60hz

RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit 1
RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0
Render.DeviceVSyncEnable 0
GameTime.MaxVariableFps 75.0

Once you have those settings in notepad save the file as User.cfg and make sure its saved as all files, then place it in the main bf3 folder.

If you're not able to maintain 75 fps then use 65 or lower.

Yep, on short distances I only shoot no zoom and mid distance quick scope. I will get an 120hz monitor soon!
But the drops to 90fps are when theres lots of staff going on around me.

I used HIS and it still goes up to 1.250v...
Thats why I hate Boost...

I tried to flash my card with Rusty's BIOS and GPU-Z, MSI AB showed me 0 gpu clock...
I cleaned the drivers with driver sweeper, installed fresh drivers and nothing... Went back to my previous BIOS and it works
