Need a good podcast app for casting in android

I'm still hunting for a great podcast app on android. For last few years I have been using one that is now simply called Podcast Player after a new incarnations.

It is ok but buggy when it comes to casting via Google Home (this is something I do a lot so I can cast to kitchen, bedroom, etc). It often hangs and fails to cast or just locks up (often requiring a phone restart to fully recover the app).

Any recommendations for a podcast app that works well with casting via Google Home?

Pocket casts is great. I used to fanny around with free apps but took the punt on PC and it's well worth it.

To be fair, it's not been out that long in the grand scheme of things, think it was released in June last year.

It seems good so far. Pretty much what I was after I guess. Prob the single thing I miss from iOS is native podcast support.

Pocket Casts is good, but I migrated to Beyond pod for it's smartplaylist feature. Suppose it depends on the length and amount of podcasts you listen to but it works for me to have a auto built playlist to my requirement anytime I get in the car since some of the stuff I'm listening to is serialised so I want my oldest unplayed episode but other stuff is current and want the newest episode.
