Need a link to an idiots guide to true image

Hi,

recently got true image 9, attempted to back the system up and ended with a bim (or whatever the backup file is called) file.

Couple of things i cant figure out is how to burn it to dvd and is this the "image" i can use to restore the system when i need to ?

read it just had trouble understanding it

did get that downloaded just different references to backups rather than images, i aint hard to confuse what can i say
