need a little help with heatsink

Hey sorry for the silly question i wasn't sure what to do with my corsair a50 cooler i got with my M5A99x board i cant seem to figure out how to install it seems the backplate that came with it doesn't fit or do i not need to use it? :confused:

You don't need to use the backplate.
