Hi guys :-)

Never had one of the new fancy CPU water coolers before, but I just bought a new case - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/bitfenix-ghost-silent-tower-case-black-ca-087-bx.html

I notice that it has room in the top for a water cooled CPU cooler and seen as my mrs is giving me a lot of grief about how noisy my current CPU cooler is with its 2 fans - I figure I should get a cooler that should hopefully be quiter, better and future proof.

So can anyone help?

It has to fit my case and be quiet.

I am currently running an i5-3570K Ocs to 4.4ghz

Cheers in advance :-)

What is you current cooler? It might be as easy as replacing the fans on the current cooler for quieter ones.

The more RPM your fans do the louder they get, it might be just a simple case of optimising the fans you have right now for what you've got. I realise you also have a 4.4ghz OC on that i5 3570k but might still be able to run your fans at lower rpm and still have your CPU run at decent temps. It's all about testing to see what you're happy with.

It's also worth noting that it might be your GPU that is generating the most noise. When my 780ti was on air it was insanely loud (main reason why I built a custom loop) and while gaming I had to limit my FPS in certain situations where I was getting more than 60fps just to stop it from running 100% all the time.

An AIO unit might help you out, but it could also do nothing for you and that would be a lot of money wasted just to find out the GPU was the cause of your troubles all along.
